Clive, I was once told by a sound engineer to use denatured alcohol, which I
think is sometimes known as isopropanol and a cotton bud. I know this isn't
really much help.

Hello all,
as this is off-topic, but I don't know where else to place the query that
would be more appropriate, please reply off-list and do not continue the
conversation here.
Where do I go to get Ethanol, or some other similar fluid with which to keep
cassette heads clean? I need this because I am embarking on a major
programme of digitising a very large collection of taped radio plays. Many
of these are not currently known to exist anywhere else.
