Sounds like your drive is on the way out. Hmm. Time for a new one?

Hello

I have a usb external hard drive which I have had for a few years. However,
I turned it on the other day and it started making lots of squeaking noises.

I don't know if it is faulty, but I will try again and see if I can get it
to work properly. On the positive note, the nc 10 did come up with a
balloon message recognising the fact that I had a usb cable connected to it.

Many thanks

Martin
