When that second window appears - WAIT! It is actually
downloading the file, but it can take quite a few minutes if
it's a large file. It will eventually appear in the window.
I've just done it for Richard, and it worked OK but did take
2-3 minutes.

Hi Richard and all,
I had problems downloading my phone's manual from the Nokia
site too, and the way I got round it was by Write clicking
on the downloading link then choose Save Target as...
otherwise it would only open a new window contains something
meaningless. I found that is always the case with the Nokia
website.
