That will be my first port of call anyway as we've almost always had Hotpoints and always got them brailled. Mind you, the last wasn't Braille but dots only ... Still better than nothing!

Hi Eleanor.

Absolute rubbish *smile*. If your after a machine with
manual controls Carol, I suggest something from the
Hotpoint range as they do a few which are totally
accessible and which can be brailed. Ask your local
electrical retailer what's available as I'm sure they
have some of the cheaper as well as more expensive models
in stock.
All the best, Ibrahim.

Mine is a Melile (excuse spelling) kwith braille dots on
it but I know Ibrahim would be looking for something
more sophisiticated (not implying you and Ibrahim are
living together) *smile* but I know he likes high tech
ones where he can tell it to start and stop at a given
time and maybe if he is even smart enough to programme
someone to take it out and do the ironing too *smile*.

Hi all,

It doesn't seem well over seven years since I was
asking for washer recommendations - but here I am again
after a rather difficult week ... with
the washer fusing everything which sent the computer
out ... and lots more
going on besides. (Already I have a lot of washing to
be done, and some was
blackened by the drum and may not come clean!)

OK - If anyone has purchased a new washer and found it
to be suitable for a
totally blind household in the past few months then I'd
be interested in recommendations.

Thanks so much!
