Can you even buy pre-recorded cassettes in the High Street
shops any more? I thought they'd gone the same way as the
old vinyl 45's and LP records?

George.

Wondered if anyone would care to comment about providing
audio information and magazine
material on cassette as well as CD?
I'm part of a small transcription and aural history
enterprise and, partly because our
cassette duplication ability is a little limited we would
prefer to ditch cassette, if only
we could! So, as well as getting local authority customers
and the like to review whether
users actually do have a CD player - DAISY or otherwise - to
play material, how do people
feel about not being offered the choice between cassette or
CD?

A bit contentious maybe, but we're considering upping the
price quite a bit for cassette
copies considering the extra work involved. I know from a
recent query on this list about
CD players that quite a few have stuck with this medium but
from our point of view its
simply a nuisance. Comments welcomed.
