In my view Change your OS is no response to this kind of question. Just because one hates a particular provider of os doesn't mean that when someone comes up with a question about the hated os it is proper to say, bin the os, go open source. I do not know how to solve billy's problem, other than to say that the only thing I can suggest is that for security reasons, they may have sent an email to an address with a security code which you billy may have to enter to get your account open. If not, call Microsoft on 0844 800 2400 and they should be able to help. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Shaun O'Connor Sent: 01 April 2014 12:11 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Microsoft Account Problem. time to consider open source alternatives i think, give ubuntu a try. it has orca. a pretty good speech engine so fairly accessible and it will not cost you a penny. only thing that might get in the way is a technology called secureboot that Microsoft and their cohorts have developed. in tandem with an additional technology called ueffi. The pass I typed would not work. I am now unable to access the new laptop. I cannot get past this annoying Microsoft account screen.
