      I'm not really sure why that is happening. There's no limit to the number 
of rules one can create. A whiled guess, try to create the folders first then 
define the rules. There's no reason why the other way around shouldn't work but 
give that a shot. You can create a folder from Menu/File/New...

only seem to be able to make 3 folders using the message rules and then the 
other ones are  just disappearing after i have made them.

            Hi 
            i did not know how to do the Subject of this question.

            I have now managed to make new folders as a result of the message 
rules.  It has taken me a little time as I made many different folders.  Now 
rather than spend time again doing same on other computers is there any way I 
can copy over the rules.  I am using Outlook Express.
