Carol:

Exit Excel completely - not just closing the sheet, and re-open by either
running Excel and opening the file or pressing "enter" on the file name
usually works - but make sure that Excel is maximized.
Sometimes just maximizing works, and sometimes pressing F9 to manually
recalculate the workbook.

Nothing ever seems to be consistent.

Subject: [access-uk] MICROSOFT EXCEL PROBLEM WITH JAWS 10

Hi all,

I have a problem which occurs from time to time with the names of sheets.
Using INS+T the name of the sheet is announced properly. As I move from
sheet to sheet with CTRL+PGDN or CTRL+PGUP the sheet name is also announced
correctly. (Now, here's where the problem occurs.) If I wish to rename a
sheet, sometimes having pressed "Enter" to do this, the sheet name can no
longer be read in the edit box with Jaws. This is infuriating when I want
to alter the sheet name by, say, one number or just a few characters.

I can't fathom what causes this problem to occur and certainly can't make it

right again ...

Any help most gratefully received.
