I'm the same. The update feature was there in one release, but then disappeared in the next. Seemed to work great for me.

Hope it works out oK, Sandra.

One thing puzzles me though. Mine does not automatically update anyway. I know that Alasdair introduced this feature some time ago, but I thought that he withdrew it later
because some people were having problems.
Perhaps the reason i don't have it is that I fairly regularly uninstall the whole thing and do a
completely new instal from the latest download.
