Hi Everyone.

I've just spoken to the sky accessibility services team and this is what to do to disable active standby. This applies to both sky and sky plus boxes of any model.

Firstly, press the services button. This is the large oval key directly beneath and slightly to the right of the sky button. You will hear some music come on and the current programming will be interrupted if your watching. Press key five then use the left or right arrow to select off which should only be a single press, then press down and select to save the setting. Now press sky and active standby should be disabled.

All the best, Ibrahim Gucukoglu

Subject: [access-uk] Large print keyboards

Hi,

I have a friend who is loosing his sight gradually and he is desperate to find a keyboard with large print for his Apple computer. Does any one know if such a thing is available or would he have to adapt his present one?

Regards

Mary
