Hi Ali,
Yes Insert + f2 brings up Jaws Manager. See modified instructions below. 
I have used this to label buttons many times. 
Aedan. 
To label a button with Jaws 12
If you find a button in a program is not being spoken out properly then:

Tab to button to be named / re-named
press insert + f2
Brings up Jaws Manager.
In the list box Arrow down 11 times to "Prompt Modify"
press enter
In edit box name / Rename button to suit
press next
ignore Braille box
press next
Add additional info if required
Press Finish

done

I haven't done it myself, but Web Visum will do this.  You will need Firefox
to use Web Visum.
