Hi Alexander, Well, I wouldn't suggest you put your laptop in the dishwasher. Peter's mention of Alcohol based solution is basically good, but with one major proviso. And that is that I've seen this actually wipe the legends off the keys. That won't necessarily bother a screen reader user of course, but it sure would scare the living daylights out of me if I was faced with a totally plain, unlabelled keyboard. I'd suggest a mild solution of Dettol or similar disinfectant. George. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Alexander Shannon Sent: 01 May 2008 15:41 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Keyboards dirtier than a toilet seat? Hi George, Someone on another list has referred to the article, and asked the question about how a keyboard should be cleaned, so, having read your message to which I am now replying, would you have any other suggestions on how to clean keyboards, (particularly laptop keyboards which can not be easily disconnected), rather than putting them in the dishwasher? Thank you in advance for any pointers.
