roger, K1000 is definitely self voicing. If you press the F5 key after scanning a page what happens? That's the key to get K1000 to continuously read from the cursor.
The other thing to check and you might want to do this first is to go in to the settings menu and check voices, reading voice.

Hi AllI was loaned a copy of K1000 to see how I would get on with it. I installed it with no problems but could not get it to voice any text I scanned in. I have always assumed K1000 was self voicing but I'm wondering if this is incorrect and it in fact uses the voice of your screen reader.
