Hi Gena,

Not at all. My business interest is completely disinterested here. In
general, I will always prefer mainstream, as opposed to specialist devices,
because they are all so far behind, including the Icon. USB 1.1 for
goodness' sake, that went out with the ark.

Of course, Talks can do letter by letter, word by word, line by line, or
whatever you want.

The biggest memory card, not necessarily MMC that I know of is 2GB. Few
phones use MMC nowadays, it is usually Mini or micro SD.

All the best

Hi

Really? What is the biggest MMC? Or do phones have 2 slots? Can Talks =
or the other phone readers allow navigation letter by letter? What =
phone has a word processor. I think your business interest is some what =
distorting your point of view.

Gena

Hi Gena,

If you go to the Levelstar web site, http://www.levelstar.com, there are
several podcasts, which describe just about all of the Icon's functions =
down
to the nth degree.

For myself, I don't want one yet, primarily because it is only USB 1.1
compliant, which means it's going to be damned slow at transferring =
files.
Not only that, most of the functions can be performed on a good Symbian
phone. The only function I haven't found as readily, is a good RSS =
reader,
but a good phone with Talks can do just about all the Icon can do, and =
is a
lot cheaper.

Hi

As a Linux fan, I've been waiting for the Icon since last year's Csun. =
=3D
It sounds like a great device, well thought out and have none of the =3D
restrictions that other dedicated devices have when integrating with =3D
other equipment.

Alas, it is not available to us here in the UK, nor can American friends =
=3D
send us one over.

I'd like to read reviews from actual users as it has been available for =
=3D
some time now, to see how good it really is proving to be. As a blind =
=3D
developer has produced most of the interface from the ground up.

While checking out further info about the Tapmemo, I discovered another
PDA type product. This one has 30GB of memory, plays MP3s and daisy.
Can be used as an Audible player and comes with an optional docking
station which turns it into a note-taker. More info at
