understand now.  The list message goes to their in box and the auto response 
replies to it.

  I'm sorry to say that these are caused by people who set up Autoresponders 
when they are out of the office.

  In an ideal world, they should set ALL their lists to NOMAIL or temporarily 
unsubscribe.

  Does anyone else get this sort of out of office auto response when they post 
to the list?  Can anyone explain why I get it?
