I have not used calibre with a screen reader so on that pint I would be
unable to comment, i instead rely on screen magnification. where
possible i convert to pdf since i can then magnify any text to the
required font size or, if i feel inclined to use adobe reder I use the
read aloud feature on that.

Hi Shaun,
If I may ask, have you used Calibre’s reading functions with a screen reader? If so, which one and what can be done accessibly? Is the whole interface usable with any particular screen reader? I would be overjoyed to be able to use Calibre’s GUI, the command line is fine for conversion but you can do a good deal more, including reading, with the GUI.
Thanks,
Aman

Hi,
I have never read Epub with Calibre, I have converted, but didn’t
know it was a reader.
I would try QRead.
All the best

a good all rounder is calibre, it reads and converts several
common document formats. and it is a free download as well.
