go to the start menu with the windows key, hit s to get to settings, right arrow to the control panel and press enter, hit f to get to folder options and hit enter again. In there, press v to go to view then tab twice to get into the tree view and press h. This should take you to *Hide extensions for known file types* and, I presume, yours will be on. Hit space bar to turn this off Tab twice to ok and hit enter. Close the control panel with alt f4 and you're done.
