I have a chip and pin visa card that also has a signiture. I have used it both by putting a pin number in and by signing for the goods. To use this one at point of sale, one can only use signature. 3. Old style card signature only. This card will be replaced with Chip and PIN by default, so one must ask for the chip and signature if one doesn't want chip and PIN. I think you will find it's card (3 that won't be generally accepted, because it's not a chip and signature one!
