Hi all -

As the list knows, I've been wanting and trying to set up my N91 as a modem
for my laptop, and persevering with it because others have achieved this.

I never did, and although I spoke with my provider T-Mobile they told me
different stories, saying yes it could be done, and know it couldn't! Anyway
I thought I'd call their line for disabled customers and just see what they
had to say. It seems the bottom line is that it can't be done, and that
anybody doing it has some how slipped through, because at one time anybody
could use their cell phone as a modem, but they have tightened up on this
now because of what they call "fair usage", and now want every body to buy
their hardware for £99.99 [pay as you go customers then pay £4 per day as
and when used; contract customers can have daily useage for £15 per month]
giving a monthly allowance of 3GB.

So that's it; those of you already able to do this, keep quiet, and stay
with it as you've obviously got a good deal, if you come off it, it looks
like you'll not get it again!
