I tried all of them using Switch and it said this function cannot be carried
out that I needed to upgrade to the purchase one.

OK, rip the CD in MP3 formats using WMP or any other similar program and
that's it. Alternatively, rip in whatever formats audio, WMA etc and then
convert the tracks to MP3 using Switch.
