Yeah,

It's the password that somehow has got wonkey and, yes, I did take a backup of the firmware once we'd set everything up so I'll give it a go. I'm waiting till the next time it needs sorting (because the wireless seems to go out quite a bit lately) and then I'll go for it.

Thanks!

Carol,

You need to hold the paper clip or other poker in for 30 seconds to
ensure a reset.

If by the cfg you mean you had previously taken a backup of the
firmware before things (I'm presuming), went wonky. Then yes, you
can restore this after resetting the firmware. In fact have you
tryed restoring it over the current firmware state, or do you have
specific requirements as to why the firmware needs to be reset first?
IE. Can't get into the config?
The default password of adminw ill work once the firmware has been
reset.

Well, I've got the .cfg file. Will that set absolutely everything
back, do you know?

Hi Carol,

Procedure is a straightened paper clip in that hole, and that's it.
That will reset everything and I mean everything back to defaults.
So you'll have to set up your secure wireless again, with a WEP key
if you use one, or whatever your settings are.

All the best

Steve

OK, so what's the procedure to make sure it resets and do you think
I'll get

in with the default password then?

If not, what do I do next??? <Grrr!>

Hi Carol,

It is a little hole just near the power outlet.

Hi,

Can anyone remind me where the Reset button is on the Linksys
WRT300N, please? I don't just want to unplug the mains as my
password is corrupt and

I can't get into the settings. I'm hoping that a reset may get me
there ...

Thanks for any help with this.
