Hi John,

First, we can sell you a Book Courier, price is 225 pounds.

Next, as I understand it, the problem with the Shuffle, is that you have to
use the Itunes software to transfer data, and this is pretty inaccessible,
as I understand, although I have never used it. Secondly, shuffle gets its
name from the fact that it never plays music files in the same order. In
other words, you have no control over the order in which the files will be
played. Because of this, I don't count it as an accessible MP3 player. The
Book Courier on the other hand, will play files, usually in the order
transferred, although again, we don't really have control over that, but it
certainly doesn't play them in a different order every time, as the Shuffle
does. The idea of the shuffle is that it literally shuffles every time, so
effectlively, shuffle play is turned on all the time. If you don't mind
that, the shuffle is indeed accessible, as I understand it, but with so
little control of the unit, I wouldn't buy one.

All the best

Subject: [access-uk] Bookcourier V IPOD Shuffle

Hello list,

From what has been seen recently on this and other lists I have come to the
following conclusion:

The IPOD Shuffle is an accessible devise in its own right, but there are
access issues with loading it from the PC.
Bookcourier, while being more expensive, at least in the UK, is probably a
better piece of kit to go for as it is a purpose designed device and will
fit VI need properly.

First, it this view correct?

Secondly, where is the bet place to source one from?

Regards, John.
