Hi George,

Don't know quite frankly as it was set up for me by an IT trainer.

Only know that when I wish to emboss I hit control O and then find what I wish to emboss.

I hit translate and then emboss.

I have it to 'standard'.

Will enquire more of my trainer as to how my system was configured and can get back to you should be that okay!

I'm a kinda person that if it works then I'm generally a happy camper!

Tony

Hi Tony,

I'll try to simplify.

First, is your embosser set up as a Windows Printer in any way. That
is, does it appear in the list of Printers and Faxes on your system?

If not, can you tell me how it is physically connected to your system.
Is it via a thick parallel cable, or perhaps USB?

Once we know that, I can take it a stage further.

When I referred to "computer braille", what I mean is that if you
print direct to a braille embosser, you will usually have no braille
translation happening, and so for example, numbers will not be
preceded by a number sign, and will appear as lower numbers. So if
you send the number 1 to the embosser, instead of getting number sign
a, you will simply get dot 2.

George.

Well George,

That would be gobble dee gook then to me I'm afraid! <grin>

I am probably answering my own question now so save item to 'my
documents
and work from there?

Thanks

You can, but bear in mind it will be untranslated, and computer
braille to boot.

George.

Hi All,

I wonder if someone could let me know if it is possible to Braille
emboss
emails &/or web pages using the Basic D embosser directly without
the
need
for first saving them to say 'my documents.?

Thanks

Tony
