Hi George,The first quote was Parcel post which is where the link took me, however have just phoned " The Post office" and got the same prices as your good self.The £7 70p option takes between 3 and 5 days for delivery but certainly an option. Once again thanks!

Where on earth did they get that price?  Did you add some
extras, such a Recorded or Registered Delivery.

We use Royal Mail's SmartStamp software here, and have done
for a couple of years.  It does the calculations for you.

According to this, a 4 Kilo Standard parcel costs £7.70 to
anywhere in the U.K.  Adding compensation up to £500 only
adds £3.50 to that.

Even a 4 Kilo FIRST CLASS packet only comes to £14.09.

Thanks for the link, yes it was very accessible however a
bit time consuming
so eventually phoned them which is what I should have done
in the first
place!Think I'll need to put my name down for Georges
Googling classes!
Thanks for taking the time to do it anyway! £15 for a 4 kilo
package so a
bit of thinking to do here!
