Thanks Douglas - did this, and I've now got IE showing up again under Add/Remove. What a wonderful feature restore is! Still hoping some one will look to see if they have the repair button available to them for IE in XP? Also, against IE under Add/Remove, is the number Q831167 - don't think this is a version number, so what does it refer too.
