Thanks Douglas - did this, and I've now got IE showing up again under
Add/Remove. What a wonderful feature restore is! Still hoping some one will
look to see if they have the repair button available to them for IE in XP?
Also, against IE under Add/Remove, is the number Q831167 - don't think this
is a version number, so what does it refer too.

Andy,
Go to System in the Control Panel and then to the System Restore sheet.
Unless the
first check box is checked, your system will have been making Restore Points
regularly.
