Hi folks, I have several Redhat Linux clients. They seem to get a reserved DHCP address fine from our W2K MS-DNS=20 server. But, MS-DNS is not being updated dynamically to=20 show the new Linux system. If I check the DHCP reservation for these systems I click on the DNS tab and I see that I have the following checked: Automatically update DHCP client information in DNS Always update DNS Discard forward (name-to-address) lookups when lease expires Enable updates for DNS clients that do not support dynamic update I assumed that the last one above would have helped. Does anyone else have trouble with Linux and dynamic DNS updates via DHCP? Thanks, Ed Ed Sanborn (978) 367-8478 Principal Network Administrator SnowShore Networks 285 Billerica Rd.
