Hi, I am sitting here with a Rolleiflex 4x4 ("grey baby"), freshly pulled from ebay, and a few Efke R100 for play, ready to pull my hair out over my own stupidity... The story in short: Efke R100 127 film rolls appear to be too wide for the Rolleiflex by about a millimetre. With the camera came two empty spindles, (1) an old one made of sheet metal, 48.9 mm wide, fitting nicely and (2) a newer, plastic one, width 49.6 mm, which fits and turns - barely. The Efke film rolls, OTOH, are 49.8 mm wide, and jam when I put them in. The lower film holder allows for 49.7 mm of width. Aunt Google knows nothing about the issue; the camera's spindle holders don't look bent or otherwise damaged in any way. Has any list member put film into a Rolleiflex 4x4 recently? Any advice, tips, consolation? hauke -- "It's never straight up and down" (DEVO) --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list
