car4dummies: CAR training wheels
A listserv designed for people who are just getting involved in the wide world of computer-assisted reporting. The listserv is designed as a place to pose questions about Excel, Access, geographic information systems, social network analysis, regression analysis, and the myriad of ways you can get it all online.
List members are current and former folks who used to work at the National Institute of Computer-Assisted Reporting, and have now moved on to bigger, though not necessarily better (though definitely better paying) things.
