I'd have to be able to keep track of the entire text block that contained an element (including its children) from open tag to the close tag. not sure if all this information should be in the underlying libxml structures or provided as part of the application that's using libxml but in parallel to this fix I'm working on implementing my own structures to keep track of the relationship between the xml tree and its text representation. lucky for me I licensed DIContainers :-) regards, a.
