A little advertisement for a local Jewish activity!
For all of you who are on the Federation's mailing list or receive the
Observer, you might have noted that the Pearl Joffe Memorial Day of
Jewish Learning is this Sunday, Dec. 7. There will be four different
study sessions at the Hillel Academy (100 E. Woodbury) from 10-3:30
(registration at 9:30) and then a keynote address at the CJCE (525
Versailles Drive) at 7:30 p.m. You were supposed to pre-register but I
wouldn't let that stop you if you're interested in attending. (You could
call the Federation for more information.)
Also, in conjunction with the Day of Learning, a Shop and Nosh(!) will
be held at Hillel from 10-5. There will be tons of booths and lots of
opportunities to do Hanukkah shopping. (There are also activities for
children and lunch is available.)
