[yoshimi-user] moving the yoshimi config files ...

Dear users,

debian have politely but firmly asked me to move the config files from
${HOME}/.yoshimi to ${HOME}/.config/yoshimi in order to comply with
Freedesktop.org's xdg-user-dirs specification. A good idea of course,
but how to handle everyone's existing config & state files?

Any firm preferences or suggestions out there?
