Just got this the other day and only now had time to try it.Just built it on my Pi3.
The first point is that the '03' option in the NEON build options is wrong
(as
reported previously) so needs to be removed.
After that it built without problems.
First time startup was astonishingly fast but failed to find any
roots/banks.
OK, I hadn't installed it and was running from userspace, but still it
should
have found the set of banks in there.
The HDMI adaptor I have has audio out so I tried that, and got extremely
distorted sound that soon faded out completely - don't yet know why.
Next I tried my KA6 usb module. This worked and produced very smooth sound
but
rapidly ran into Xruns. Going round the available ports and restarting
didn't
seem to make any difference.
I tried removing the pulseaudio server. I find that's often a source of
problems, but this time it made no difference.
All-in-all this is rather disappointing. I haven't got time to investigate
further at the moment - with a release coming up, but will remove the '03'
from
the default build options, and if anyone can suggest other options to set,
I'll
give them a quick try.
P.S.
I was working with a period size of 256 frames and 3 periods/buffer @ 48k.
did a fresh git clone and added the dependencies. dropped into src ,
made sure there was no CMakeCache.txt
run ccmake . (c)onfig and then turn neon ON and add -O3 at end of neon
settings line (c)onfig then (g)enerate. Nothing else. It build fine
Was there a space before the -O3 in the list file (this seems to bugger
things up)
