I'm still out there. I still use yadex, albeit only really in a
read-only fashion - modern Doom level design seems to love a switch on
one side of the level that changes something half a mile away, and
additionally now loves clever boom-extensions stuff where how to open
a door is unfathomable by man or beast. A reasonable editor that runs
on my Linux box is very much appreciated.
