Glad a and c are working now.
With regard to b: If you do INIREAD d:\path\config.txt,lins<Helpkey>,
do you see "43" on the PRompt line? If not, is there some quirk about
the formatting of the LINS statement in your CONFIG.TXT? The usual
format, of course, would be either
LINS=43
or
LINS = 43
Also, is the call to XyWebU2.int located below the line that loads
SETTINGS.DFL -- in case there is an inconsistent sl or sw setting there?
In truth, if you're not running multiple configurations of vDosXy with
different screen dimensions, you can omit the call to XyWebU2.int. (It
also initializes U2 AutoSAve and command archiving, but there are
other ways to do that, too, if you're doing either of those.)
With regard to the OED, I misspoke. I'm running OED v4. When I access
it from XyWrite I use a very simple frame OED that looks like this:
