That feels like a bit of a problem for credibility. A conference for the
VCS is held, but there is no record of VCS organisations attending.
Therefore there's also no way of analysing representation of different
sectors, sizes of organisation or geographic spread - all of which would
seem pretty important in interpreting responses.

'representing' any particular organisation but brought their knowledge and
experience of the sector to the table. Many had links to several VCS groups.

Dear Colleagues

The meeting on Friday will be held at the Old Palace, Deansway, Worcester
from 10am until 12pm. Please note there is no parking available at the Old
Palace.

The focus will be moving forward from the Conference in December.

The conference brought together a committed group of participants from
across the VCS and a small number from public sector partners. The day
opened with a presentation from Sir Stuart Etherington - followed by a good
question and answer session.

There were introductory presentations followed by in depth discussions in
groups on 'Leading Changing Communities' (Doug Chaplin) and 'Serving our
Society - a Changing Sector' (Roger Britton). The rapporteurs recorded the
points made in those discussions and these have been typed up.

Our new Communications Officer, Ruth Doddwell, has produced a draft
report on the day based on the presentations and the typed up sheets. Derek
and I made some very minor amendments. Ruth's report is attached.
(Unfortunately Ruth is not able to join us on Friday.)

In order to avoid filling up your in boxes I'm not attaching all the
papers. They have been uploaded to the website.
