I got a report from a friend who saw an Ibis at Bakkens' Pond yesterday
afternoon, from the lot off Kennedy Road across from Ellen Road. She
described the head coloring as reddish brown, green feathers on the body
when the sun hit it, and the long down-curved bill. Hanging out with
Northern Shovelers, a good distance out. She thinks it was White-faced, but
not 100% sure.
I went to look for it this morning, foggy conditions, spent 1 1/2 hours
there, checked the other two sites to east and west, but did not find it.
