Birded Lake Puckaway by boat this morning. Only unusual gull amongst the 500 or so ring-billed gulls was a juvenile Greater Black-backed Gull. Something flushed the whole gull flock, but could not see what it was although I saw a suspected Peregrine later in the morning. Was hoping for a Jaeger, but no dice. Other birds included: 1 Common Tern 1 Forster's Tern 2 dozen Tree Swallows 1,000 or more Double-crested Cormorants (scanned for Neotropics) 3 American Golden Plovers 1 Spotted Sandpiper 1 possible Peregrine 3 dozen Lesser Scaup Daryl & Sherry Christensen www.darylchristensen.com "There is symbolic as well as actual beauty in the migration of birds. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature - the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the winter." -Rachel Carson #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
