Dennis Gustafson just reported that he saw an eared grebe at the Frog Alley
end of Vernon Marsh this morning. If you take the Frog Alley road into the
area, drive all of the way to the upper lot and walk in along the dyke. He
saw the bird in the open area of the furthest pond. The bird did not show
its complete adult plumage yet.

Also, a first year summer tanager male is visiting the bee hives at the Wehr
Nature Center. It was first seen yesterday and I was able to see it this
morning.
