I arrived at Wisconsin Point at 9:30am but I had to wait for nearly an hour for the fog to lift. When the fog lifted I headed over to lot 1 ( Jaegerfest location ) and spotted an adult winter plumage Pacific Loon. The loon was over towards the light house area but with the sin light to my left I could see a lot of the field marks and details of the loon. After spending sometime chumming the gulls towards me and I got a lot of help from Bald Eagles chasing the gulls off the landfill to me. I literally had hundreds of gulls on both sides of me on the beach. I was quite surprised to find an adult Thayer's Gull literally no more than 30 feet from me on the beach! Yesterday Peder Svingen, Robbye Johnson and I found a first cycle Thayer's Gull that came to our chumming. A birder from Steven's Point located a Harris Sparrow along Wisconsin Point yesterday.
