Hi folks.
We have a foot of new snow on the ground but still have a White-throated
Sparrow hanging around at the feeders. The last time I heard the Ruffed Grouse
drumming was on 12/5 when there was an inch of snow and the temperature was in
the mid-20s. I was thinking I was hearing him a few times this morning while I
was shoveling but it turned out to be the pitter-patter of my heartbeat.

We never did hear or see the usual number of Tundra Swans migrating over though
a small flock did fly over on 12/4.
