Today Barb, Ed, Bill, and I birded around Mallard Lake at Wehr Nature center. Here is what we saw as well as this old fuzzy-brain can remember. Bill, please chime in if I have forgotten anything significant! Warblers: Nashville, Black-throated Green, Ovenbird, Black and White, Am. Redstart, and loads of Yellow-rumps, and many warblers flitting around so fast on this gray day that we couldn't possibly identify them all. Green Heron, Great Blue Heron, Belted Kingfisher, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Brown Creeper, Eastern Wood Pewee, Eastern Phoebe, Wood Ducks, Pied-billed Grebe, Golden-crowned Kinglet, White-throated Sparrows, Cedar Wax-wings, Catbird, Blue Jays, American Robins, Black-capped Chickadees, Am. Goldfinch, N. Cardinal, W. B. Nuthatch, and unidentified thrushes.
