My wife and I hiked Fischer's Creek, north of Sheboygan, and came across a
flock of sparrows of which I have guesses but I am not sure. I hope that
someone more knowledgeable than myself can help. I brought my camera with a
zoom and thankfully got a few shots. These are actually crops of my zoom
shots and they came out better than I had expected. One is a back shot of one
of the sparrows stretching up from the lawn at FC. The second is a more
difficult view of the sparrow hidden in shrubbery. I assumbe that it is either
a Song Sparrow or a Lincoln Sparrow. I lean towards the latter as the bill
seems thinner, the wings have less brown on them and the song, if I remember it
at all, seems to have been more like the Lincoln. Thank you for your help.Â
