Last winter (2014-15) I banded almost 1000 siskins here in Mercer and this
past February 1 was recovered in Kansas where bander who recovered it had
"100s" this winter. I had very few here this winter.

Subject: [wisb] Siskin question
This past winter there was one siskin at our feed on two days. The questions
are. Does anyone know how far south do they go ? How long does the spring
migration last ? Early this week there were 3 or 4 on the tube feeder 2
feet from the window giving us a great look at the feather color patterns,
some have more yellow on the primaries , secondary's ,tertials and upper
tail coverts . This morning there were 9 present.
