Hi Laurie,
That must be tough to watch. Don't know if you should intervene or not,
but if you do, the best thing (in my opinion) would be to try to catch the
sick guy in a net - but if this proves difficult don't stress him too much;
stop trying. before you do this though, find a licensed wildlife
rehabilitator to take him to; the DNR might be able to steer you in the
right direction.
