Late this afternoon on a return trip from the woods, I spotted an owl flying low over a hay field. I stopped and was able to see that it was a SHORT-EARED OWL. Had some great looks as it continued to hunt and perch on several fence posts. The owl was located along county highway "H", about 3 miles south and 1 mile west of Ino, which is about half way between Ashland and Iron River. It was hunting the field just east of the horse riding ranch (Benson's) Tim Oksiuta Ashland, WI Bayfield County #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
