Spring migration is coming along, but so too is the breeding season for many
species. And that means Season Two of the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas is upon
us. The latest project update is chock full of goodies and can be found at:
http://bit.ly/20jVZ7q
Highlights include:
. Archived presentations from our kickoff conference in Wausau last
weekend,
. Recommendations for finishing your survey block and moving on to the
next,
. Tips for finding American Woodcock and other species breeding now,
. A list of upcoming Atlas training events across the state, and
. Exciting news on our project mascot, the Scarlet Tanager!
Many thanks to the 177 bird-lovers who attended the conference and 800+ birders
statewide who have contributed data thus far. With many gaps yet to fill, we
hope all Wisconsin birders will take some time to help this important project.
Thank you!
We are committed to service excellence.
