I birded the prairie parcel of Pheasant Branch Conservancy this morning with Sylvia Marek and Dottie Johnson. We found a nice diversity of sparrow species including SAVANNAH, LINCOLN'S, WHITE-CROWNED, WHITE-THROATED, and my first DARK-EYED JUNCO of fall. Also had a nice fly-over MERLIN. A few YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, PALM WARBLERS, and a single ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER. A few lingering TREE SWALLOWS were present.
