Has the Shoop Park (Racine) phalarope been seen this week? I spent an hour scanning the marsh along Highway 49 at Horicon midday today. Still good numbers of Black-Bellied Plovers and Dunlins, and a couple of Greater Yellowlegs. However, the water has risen in the last few days, and the only shorebird habitat left is WAY back on the north side of the highway, somewhat east of the pumphouse.
