Like dressing up for a date, many male birds use their plumage to attract a
mate. But like moths on a suit, sometimes parasites can put a damper on their
look.
Learn how Rebecca Schneider, UWM Biological Science Department, compared blood
parasite infection of Wisconsin and Florida Common Yellowthroats and found
surprising results. Is there hope for infected male birds after all?
This should be a great talk tomorrow night at the Riverside Park branch of the
Urban Ecology Center.
