Dear Birders:
Last Monday, we had a beautiful adult Red-shouldered Hawk in a tree over the
Fox River, on the east side of the Rt. 22 bridge where it crosses the river
in Pardeeville, Columbia Co. Up to this time the closest we have had a RSHA
was in the Caledonia bottomlands across the Wisconsin River from Portage,
and one along the canal in Portage itself.

Friday it graced our back yard by sitting in a tree about 70 ft. from our
windows. We can see the Rt. 22 bridge over the river from our yard, so this
was close to the Monday location. Beautiful!

A new yard bird.

Good birding........................ Paul & Glenna
